About Kanishka Foundation

Supporting Every Child.
Standing With Every Family.

Kanishka Foundation is a Trust dedicated to supporting children living with Cerebral Palsy and their families through care, compassion, guidance, and hope.

Our journey began with a deeply personal story. Having witnessed the challenges, struggles, and uncertainties that come with Cerebral Palsy as a family, we came to understand that no child or parent should have to walk this journey alone.

Read Our Story

What began as our own experience soon became a purpose — to reach out to other children and families, stand beside them in difficult moments, and create a compassionate ecosystem where they feel supported, understood, and never alone.

We believe that every child deserves an opportunity to grow, smile, learn, and live with dignity. And while the journey can sometimes feel overwhelming, it is during those difficult moments that Kanishka Foundation steps in — with a helping hand, a caring heart, and a promise to keep hope alive.

Our mission is not only to provide support, but also to spread love, strength, awareness, and acceptance. Because sometimes, the greatest gift we can give a family is not just help — it is the hope that tomorrow can be better.

About Cerebral Palsy

Understanding Cerebral Palsy (CP)

Cerebral Palsy is a neurological condition that can affect movement, muscle coordination, posture, and balance. It begins early in life and each child may experience it differently.

Every Child Is Unique

Every child has their own abilities, needs, and strengths.

CP Is Not a Disease

It is a lifelong condition, and with the right support, children can continue to learn, grow, and develop.

Early Support Makes a Difference

Timely therapy and guidance can help improve movement, independence, and overall quality of life.

With the Right Support, Children Can Thrive

With appropriate care, therapy, encouragement, and opportunities, children with CP can reach their individual potential.

Cerebral Palsy Support & FAQs

Cerebral Palsy is a neurological condition that affects movement, posture, and coordination. Every child with CP is unique, and with early support, appropriate therapy, and encouragement, children can develop skills, gain independence, and thrive.

Therapy can help children with Cerebral Palsy develop movement, communication, coordination, and everyday skills. Early, individualized therapy can support greater independence and improve overall quality of life. Every child is different, so the right therapy plan should be tailored to their individual needs and goals.

Parents should seek professional guidance when developmental milestones are delayed or movement appears unusually stiff or limited.

With inclusive education, appropriate accommodations, therapy, and encouragement, children with CP can develop their skills, build confidence, and participate in school, sports, arts, and other activities according to their abilities and interests.

Parents can play an important role in supporting their child with Cerebral Palsy at home by following the recommended therapy plan, encouraging independence, and making everyday activities fun and engaging. Creating a safe and supportive environment, encouraging communication, celebrating progress, and staying connected with therapists and healthcare professionals can help children build confidence, develop new skills, and become more independent.
